COSMOS-3D is a JWST Cycle 3 Large Program covering 0.33 square degrees with NIRCam/WFSS in F444W. This is complemented by imaging in F115W, F200W, and F356W, adding to COSMOS-Web (F115W, F150W, F277W, F444W). Finally, we acquire 484 square arcmin of parallel MIRI F1000W/F2100W imaging, overlapping with COSMOS-Web's F770W.
The F444W NIRCam grism observations reach a depth of XX erg/s/cm2, sensitive to emission line emitters at a range of redshifts XX-XX. For example, we can detect [list of lines] down to [luminosity] during the epoch of reionization, as well as [list of lines] down to [luminosity] at cosmic noon. The 5-sigma limiting magnitudes in imaging are XX, XX, XX.
Our unique program will enable a ton of extragalactic science projects ranging from cosmology and large scale structure to studies of individual galaxies and their supermassive black holes, from cosmic noon to cosmic dawn. Click around to learn more about COSMOS-3D!
